This is just a lil animation, its supposed to be a loop. but cant have flash in here so its not going to be. This is actually from a game i love to play called wipeout hd. i seen the animation in the game, and wanted to see if i can make something similar to it. the is but only two diferences in it. the shine, and one of the lil ships is different. all i did was make a gedeon object, smooth the edges, inset some polygons, extruded them a little, backed up some of the edjest, added turbosmooth with iterations at 3, and added my own chrome look to it. the camera is simple. just make a circle (a spline), made it big enough around the object, made a target camera and made a path constraint with the camera and the circle. easy actually.

PS: I forgot to mention how i made the inner cutout. i first had to find a almost good reference image to use in illustrator. once imported into ilustrator, i then traced each part of the logo (tho like i said the one ship on top is different than the original one, that is because the image was really low quality so it was pixelated). once that was done, i saved the document as an Illustrator 8 file so it can be imported into 3ds max as a spline. now when i exported it into the program it messed up.  the loops werent right. so to fix that i had to add more points in illustrator to those loops. re-imported and then it worked. once imported i used an extrude modifier to make the splines a poly. i extruded them enough so the logo would show thro both sides of the main shape. then just used some booleon to cut the logo out of the shape (note i hade to convert the shape to a poly so the booleon dont mess up the turbo smooth). done

XANA!!!!

This is another animation i did, but this time its for someones birthday. its supposed to be the Xana symbol for Code Lyoko. My BF's little brother just got into the show a week ago and so i thought i would make him something. i messed up on the first try tho. first thing i did was get a reference image and applied it to a plain that had the same dimensions of the image so it would be exact. then i just made some tubes the same size as the rings. made a cylinder for the middle dot, and just extruded some polys to make the fins on the outer ring. then i backed up the edges around everything that needed to be a smooth but hard edge. then just applied a green map to it and enabled the wire frame effect and vwala.

Note*** Xana symbol is not mine. original design is owned by moonscoop and some other corporation.

A Birthday Present For My BF.

I wanted to do something special for my loving boyfriend. I know he likes the Metroid series a lot, so i decided to make a version of the samus logo for him. i hope he likes it. Note this isn't the final version. but its a start. i do have to play around with the rendering to make it look sweet for him. I'm also going to edit the "s" a little as well. I will add another paragraph later on how i did all this.

heres a different angle of it. i currently use it as a status icon because of the "S" kinda goes with my "Saphire Sawtelle" character name and with "Saphire Studios"

 well grap. i dont know why it always does this. but i did try to do a animated GIF file using fireworks, but i need to tweak it. ill fix it and re-upload it.

just a test post. seeing if i can post a sound file and have it actually play on the site. The Title of the song is "My Castle" the original song is by Tundra Fox (William Folden). I tried to remake the song. i got most of everything, somethings are different. but the mastering is off. Im still trying to get the hang of music. I love doing it but i have very lil confidence in my self to where i dont make much music anymore.
